That’s why our guide offers a relaxing evening tour after dinner, allowing you to experience the magical golden light before ending the tour at one of Riga’s most beautiful sunset viewpoints.

From May to September, you can also choose our City & River Experience, combining a one-hour evening cruise along the Daugava River aboard a traditional wooden boat (drink included) with a guided walking tour of Old Riga after sunset.

Your guide will explain the history of the Daugava River, the Vansu Bridge, the impressive Central Market, the Latvian National Opera and many other landmarks.

Boat tickets are purchased separately. Your guide will advise you on the most suitable departure time depending on the season (typically 6 pm, 7 pm or 8 pm, with an additional 9 pm departure during summer).

Designed by the renowned Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, the palace is one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Northern Europe.

Jurmala

Jūrmala Seaside Escape

Located around 25 km west of Riga, Jūrmala is Latvia’s best-known seaside resort, famous for its 30 kilometres of white sandy beaches along the Gulf of Riga.

Beyond the coastline, the town is renowned for its charming colourful wooden villas, many decorated with beautiful traditional architectural details.

Stroll through the picturesque streets of Dubulti and Dzintari, admire the elegant wooden houses and visit Dzintari Forest Park, where an observation tower offers wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Travelling without a car No problem. Your guide can accompany you by train from Riga Central Station. Frequent services take around 30 minutes to reach Jūrmala’s main stations, including Majori and Dzintari.

Rundāle Palace Day Trip

Discover the magnificent Rundāle Palace, often referred to as the “Latvian Versailles.”

Located around 80 kilometres south of Riga, near the town of Bauska, this spectacular Baroque palace was designed by the Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, who also created the famous Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg.

Today, Rundāle is widely regarded as one of the masterpieces of Baroque architecture in Latvia and Eastern Europe.

Inside, admire lavish reception rooms, royal apartments, elegant galleries, richly decorated ceilings, gilded interiors and impressive works of art.

Outside, wander through the magnificent French-style formal gardens, featuring symmetrical flower beds, manicured hedges, fountains, sculptures and one of the Baltic region’s finest rose gardens.
