Founded in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knights, this historic port—formerly known as Memel—combines German heritage with traditional Lithuanian architecture to create a truly distinctive atmosphere.
Your tour begins in the beautifully preserved Old Town, where cobbled streets and colourful half-timbered houses reflect the city’s Hanseatic past.

Walking along the Danė River, you’ll admire the elegant sailing ship Meridianas, one of Klaipėda’s best-known landmarks, before discovering the remains of Klaipėda Castle, once one of the region’s most important fortresses.
Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories about Klaipėda’s links with Prussia and the Baltic Sea, while introducing you to the city’s charming sculptures—including the famous Magic Mouse, believed to bring good luck to anyone who whispers a wish into its ear.
