Seville Cathedral, also known as the Catedral de Santa María de la Sede, is one of the city’s and Spain’s major attractions.

Built between the 15th and 16th centuries, Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. It was constructed on the site of a former Almohad mosque, and some elements of that mosque, including the Moorish Giralda, were incorporated into the cathedral. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
