Located very close to the Royal Palace, this is where the coronations of Sweden’s kings once took place. Even today, it hosts major royal religious ceremonies, including weddings and christenings.
As one of the oldest buildings in the city, Storkyrkan bears living witness to the development of the Swedish capital, from its beginnings in the Middle Ages to the present day.
It has survived turbulent periods, including the Protestant Reformation, and witnessed Sweden’s Golden Age. Despite the numerous architectural transformations it has undergone over the centuries, Storkyrkan retains precious reminders of its glorious past.

Stockholm by night: “Between Land and Sea”

Your evening begins with a walking tour of the Södermalm district before taking the metro to Östermalm, where you will discover the Royal Dramatic Theatre as well as a surprising church that is unlike any other…

Classic Stockholm by night
Immerse yourself in the mysterious and romantic atmosphere of Gamla Stan at night as you explore its illuminated landmarks.

Romantic tour: Kungsträdgården and Vaxholm Island
This tour begins with a romantic stroll through Kungsträdgården—the King’s Garden—one of the oldest and most beautiful parks in the city. Your guide will explain how it has changed since the Middle Ages. Admire the cherry blossoms in spring and the Molin Fountain, an impressive work of art that adds an elegant touch to the park.
We will then head to the harbour for a short cruise to Vaxholm Island. This pleasant one-hour crossing offers superb views of the Stockholm Archipelago along the way, together with plenty of information about Sweden and its people.
Often described as the “gateway to the Stockholm Archipelago”, the centre of Vaxholm is highly picturesque, with its 19th-century church and occasional concerts, colourful wooden houses, artisan shops and cafés. Before exploring the town, you will also visit Vaxholm Fortress, Sweden’s very own “Fort Boyard”!
You can take the tour in the morning, leaving the afternoon free to stroll along the island’s ten kilometres of walking trails, browse its shops, pick up a few souvenirs and even enjoy its beaches during the summer. Duration: 3 hours.

“Histomiam” tour from Gamla Stan to Östermalm
How would you like to enjoy a historical and culinary journey taking you from the cobbled lanes of Gamla Stan to the colourful stalls of Östermalm Saluhall?

Romantic tour of Djurgården Island
This tour of Djurgården can be taken in the morning, leaving you plenty of time to explore the rest of the island at your own pace in the afternoon. The island is home to museums of every kind, including the famous Vasa Museum, the Viking Museum and the ABBA Museum, not to mention the Gröna Lund amusement park.
Discover Skansen, the oldest open-air museum in the world. Founded in 1891 by Artur Hazelius, it offers an immersive experience of Swedish culture, showcasing the country’s history, traditions and craftsmanship through 19th-century houses, costumed historical characters, artisans, animals and much more…
We will then take you to Rosendal Garden—Rosendals Trädgård, a small corner of the countryside where you can stroll like a local. Discover how Napoleon’s name became associated with these gardens… They are a magnificent example of an organic permaculture garden, featuring cultivated plots, greenhouses, wildflower meadows and orchards.
We suggest ending the tour at the garden café, a timeless spot that may well become one of your favourite places in Stockholm. Duration: 3½–4 hours.
