Tartu’s historic centre offers wonderful variety, from its cobbled streets to its welcoming and romantic main square, featuring the Kissing Students Fountain and the elegant Neoclassical Town Hall.

This guided experience includes our two-hour tour covering the main highlights of central Tartu.

The tour takes you past Tartu Cathedral, which is connected to one of the university buildings housing the University of Tartu Museum. The museum’s own history is far from ordinary, as you will discover, and part of it is now located inside the cathedral ruins.

The museum visit traces the history of the university from 1632 to the present day. You will also discover the Treasury and the Chamber of Mysteries—an intriguing programme awaits you!

Guided tours in French are generally unavailable here, making this experience even more special. Duration: 3 hours.
