Located inside the charming five-star Schlössle Hotel, Stenhus Restaurant perfectly reflects the elegance and romance of the property itself.
The restaurant occupies a beautifully restored 14th-century vaulted stone cellar, complete with exposed stone walls, a crackling fireplace and comfortable armchairs that create an intimate, cocoon-like atmosphere.

In addition to the à la carte menu, the restaurant also offers a tasting menu priced at €89 per person (served to the entire table before 9 pm).
Dominic Veinirestoran
Housed inside a historic merchant’s residence first mentioned in 1374, Dominic Restaurant offers an elegant fine dining experience in the heart of Tallinn.
The refined menu features everything from langoustines to venison fillet, giving diners plenty of tempting choices.

Mon Repos Restaurant
Mon Repos truly lives up to its name. Located opposite Kadriorg Park, it offers a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere that immediately helps you relax.
The minimalist interior allows the food to take centre stage. Every plate is presented like a small work of art, combining creativity with outstanding flavours.
The restaurant is recommended by the Michelin Guide, particularly for its delightful terrace overlooking the peaceful surroundings.
Restaurant Villa Thai
Exotic flavours and a cosy atmosphere await at Villa Thai, where Thai and Indian cuisine come together beautifully.
Upon arrival, you’re welcomed into a charming lounge with plush armchairs where you can relax before being seated.
Like Mon Repos, the restaurant is just a short walk from Kadriorg Palace.
Inside, Buddha statues, bamboo walls and tropical plants create the perfect setting for an intimate dinner for two.
The weekday lunch menu changes daily and offers excellent value at around €13, including soup, naan bread and a main course. The extensive menu also features plenty of vegetarian options, with detailed ingredient information. During summer, guests can enjoy the peaceful terrace, described by the restaurant as “a little oasis in the concrete jungle.”
La Pineta
La Pineta is one of our absolute favourites among Tallinn’s Italian restaurants.
Instead of pizzas, you’ll find authentic Italian specialities including carefully selected cured meats and cheeses, homemade pasta, creamy risottos and refined main courses.
The presentation is elegant, colourful and consistently mouth-watering.
This is the last restaurant in our Kadriorg selection and is ideally located opposite the highly Instagrammable Luigetiigi Pavilion, just a five-minute walk from Kadriorg Palace.
Weekday lunches offer particularly good value, with most dishes costing less than €12, making it an excellent stop before or after visiting the romantic palace and its magnificent gardens.
Among Tallinn’s finest luxury restaurants are the only two Michelin-starred restaurants in Estonia (2024). As these exceptional establishments are highly sought after, booking well in advance is strongly recommended.
Neither restaurant is located in the Old Town, but both are easily accessible by bus. Before discovering them, here’s another outstanding restaurant that, although not Michelin-starred, is equally worthy of your attention.
Restaurant Tchaikovsky
Located in the heart of Tallinn’s medieval Old Town, inside the elegant 5-star Hotel Telegraaf, Restaurant Tchaikovsky sits just steps from the famous St. Catherine’s Passage.
The bright dining room is housed beneath a magnificent glass roof adorned with sparkling chandeliers. A lush green wall provides an elegant backdrop, while beautifully folded swan-shaped napkins add a refined finishing touch.
On certain evenings, a live classical orchestra performs—naturally featuring works by Tchaikovsky—creating an unforgettable romantic atmosphere.

Noa Chef’s Hall
Located north of the trendy Kalamaja district, directly opposite Noblessner Marina, 180° by Matthias Diether is easily reached by taking bus 73 from Viru Gate to the Noblessner stop, just a few minutes’ walk away.
After earning Estonia’s first Michelin Star alongside NOA, German chef Matthias Diether went on to achieve an even greater distinction by receiving a second Michelin Star.
The restaurant offers two elegant eight-course tasting menus: one featuring meat and seafood, and another entirely vegetarian.
Choosing the signature tasting menu with the optional four-glass wine pairing will cost under €250 per person.
For an even more intimate evening, request a table at the back of the dining room, in the carpeted section, when making your reservation.
Le 180° de Matthias Diether
Ce restaurant se situe au nord du quartier bohème de Kalamaja, juste en face du port de plaisance de Noblessneri. Pour vous y rendre il faut prendre le bus 73 depuis la porte médiévale Viru Gate qui vous dépose à 4’ du restaurant, arrêt Noblessneri justement.
Après avoir obtenu sa première Etoile Michelin en même temps que le restaurant Noa, le chef allemand de ce restaurant en a obtenu une deuxième.
Les menus dégustation proposés sont au nombre de deux, un avec viande/poisson et un végétarien en 8 services chacun. Si vous choisissez le menu viande/poisson et accords vin sur 4 plats, il faut prévoir un budget de moins de 250 euros.
