Franka
Franka is one of Trogir’s most popular restaurants (among nearly a hundred in town) and received Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice award in 2022.
It is located right in the heart of the historic centre, just a two-minute walk from the museums, churches and parks.
Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s only an expensive restaurant. If you choose their Croatian charcuterie and local speciality platter for two (€25), it becomes an excellent value.
Add a couple of drinks and you’ll still enjoy a reasonably priced meal. The dishes are delicious, combining simplicity, freshness and Croatian tradition.
Konoba Trs
This traditional tavern features a lovely courtyard shaded by vines growing over a charming pergola.
Located inside a historic 13th-century medieval house, the cobbled alley leading to the restaurant is equally picturesque, especially when the purple flowers are in bloom.
The menu offers a beautiful selection of seafood, shellfish and meat dishes, all elegantly presented. Its quality has earned the restaurant a place in the Michelin Guide restaurant selection.
Pasike

Whether you’re craving an authentic Neapolitan pizza or refined Dalmatian cuisine, the restaurant has something for everyone.
The dishes are colourful, beautifully presented and full of flavour.

Alka Restaurant
Like the previous establishment, Alka Restaurant also offers family accommodation (three guest rooms) with a 25 m² rooftop terrace + link.
Located next to Kristian Restaurant & Pizzeria mentioned earlier, Alka is believed to be the oldest restaurant in Trogir, having opened in 1966. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, making it a great option at any time of day.
The extensive menu showcases numerous Dalmatian specialities, including pašticada, grilled octopus and ćevapčići.
You’ll also find a wide selection of whole grilled fish, seafood platters for two, around fifteen premium beef cuts, pasta, risottos, salads and many other dishes.
There’s truly something for everyone.
Konoba Era
As you may know, konobas are traditional Croatian taverns, and Konoba Era proudly serves authentic Croatian cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Choose from a wide variety of fish, seafood, pasta and pizzas.
The portions are generous and made with fresh ingredients, so you certainly won’t leave hungry. Expect to pay around €35 per person, including an aperitif, starter, dessert and coffee.
You’ll probably even be offered a complimentary local digestif at the end of your meal!

Konoba Stafileo
Located in a peaceful corner away from the busiest streets, Konoba Stafileo is a delightful medieval-style tavern with several charming dining rooms.
Our favourite is the intimate stone courtyard, which offers a wonderfully romantic atmosphere.
We highly recommend requesting a table there when making your reservation.
Enjoy generous Croatian and Mediterranean cuisine featuring seafood, grilled meats, fresh fish and traditional local dishes.
Cut Steakhouse
It’s well worth wandering through Trogir’s maze of picturesque alleyways to reach this incredibly romantic restaurant after sunset.
As expected from a steakhouse, you’ll find an impressive selection of premium steaks, burgers and generous mixed grills.
However, the menu also includes whole grilled fish, grilled shellfish, soups, salads, pasta and risottos.
The interior is beautiful, with exposed stone walls and timber beams, while the outdoor terrace is ideal during the summer months.
Restaurant Mare
To conclude our selection of mid-range restaurants, Restaurant Mare is one of our personal favourites thanks to its elegant interior, intimate terrace and creative cuisine.
Located opposite Trogir’s historic centre on the island of Čiovo, it is the restaurant of one of the hotels we recommend + link.
Its menu offers something a little different from many other restaurants in town.
We recommend trying the Grandmother’s Brodetto, a traditional seafood stew served with pasta, monkfish, mussels and octopus, or the octopus with prosciutto.
After dinner, enjoy a relaxing stroll along the waterfront while admiring the beautiful views of Trogir’s Old Town across the water.
Tri Volta
Located in the heart of Trogir’s Old Town, just steps from the town’s beautiful churches and museums, Tri Volta is a perfect choice for a romantic dinner.
The restaurant specialises in beautifully presented seafood and fresh fish dishes.
It also serves the famous Peka, which must be ordered 24 hours in advance.
This iconic Croatian speciality is slowly cooked beneath a traditional cast-iron bell, allowing the meat or seafood to simmer gently in its own juices for several hours.
The result is incredibly rich flavours and wonderfully tender textures.
Restaurant sv Dominik
Restaurant Sv. Dominik enjoys a truly historic setting inside the 13th-century Monastery of St. Dominic, which you can also visit (€2 entrance fee) before or after your meal.
The restaurant offers a more upscale dining experience if you choose fish or meat specialities, while many other dishes remain moderately priced.
Il Ponte
Il Ponte is the second restaurant in Trogir featured in the Michelin Guide, although it has not yet received either a Bib Gourmand or a Michelin Star.
Ideally located beside the wooden bridge, it offers lovely views over the Old Town and St. Mark’s Tower, whether you dine indoors or on the terrace.
The chef’s six-course tasting menu is served blind for the entire table and costs approximately €150 per person, including wine pairing.
If you’re looking for something lighter, the à la carte menu is equally appealing, complemented by an excellent wine list featuring around 50 Croatian wines, making it the perfect place to discover the country’s outstanding vineyards.
