We recommend experiencing the archipelago at a local pace, without having to worry about driving on the left or finding somewhere to park. Modern, air-conditioned buses, some of which are electric, provide access to many of the islands’ attractions, while chauffeur-driven services such as Bolt offer a convenient alternative when time is limited. We try to remain objective, even though Malta and Gozo are among our favourite destinations: several stays over recent years have allowed us to discover their many different sides and confirmed that they deserve far more than a hurried visit.
