Thanks to both its location and its breathtaking views, this is by far our favourite restaurant in the city.

The restaurant also offers an outstanding value weekday lunch menu for around €8–10, changing daily and including a starter plus your choice of a vegetarian or meat main course.

Restaurant Paris

Despite its name, Restaurant Paris pays tribute to France while remaining firmly rooted in Czech culinary tradition. It is the elegant restaurant of the historic Hotel Imperial, which has welcomed guests for well over a century.

Here, Czech cuisine is beautifully combined with French gastronomy. Dishes such as roasted duck legs are given a refined modern twist, accompanied by creatively prepared beetroot.

The dining room evokes a miniature Versailles, with classic chairs, crisp white tablecloths, grand drapes, statues and sparkling crystal chandeliers creating a wonderfully romantic atmosphere.

Tusculum

Located just outside the busy town centre, Tusculum is widely regarded as one of Karlovy Vary’s finest restaurants.

It’s also conveniently close to the beautiful Orthodox Church of Saints Peter and Paul, making it easy to combine a visit with your meal while admiring the town’s remarkable architecture.

This is true fine dining, yet surprisingly affordable. The tasting menu costs around €32, making it excellent value for the quality on offer. Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant is very popular.

Restaurant Romance is an elegant dining venue located in the Castle District, serving beautifully presented, creative cuisine.

Guests can dine in either the stylish main dining room or the beautifully restored wine cellar, which provides a particularly intimate atmosphere. Booking at least one day in advance is recommended.

The main dining room seats around 25 guests, while the charming vaulted wine cellar downstairs accommodates approximately 20, creating an ideal setting for a romantic dinner.

It’s also an excellent choice for lunch before continuing your visit to the nearby castle.
