We hesitated for a long time before revealing this little hidden gem, tucked away off the beaten path and still largely undiscovered by tourists.
Despite its unusual name, CJ26 serves refined, colourful cuisine worthy of a fine dining restaurant. Better still, it has the brilliant idea of making gourmet food accessible by offering an outstanding weekday lunch menu for just €17–20.
The menu changes every week and includes two starters, two main courses and two desserts. Depending on the week, you might enjoy pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes, baby spinach and truffle sauce, creamy potato soup with venison ragout, or sea bass served with courgette purée and a warm legume salad. Delicious!
The restaurant is easily reached by tram, with the Bertramka stop located just 100 metres away.
In the evening, you can order à la carte or indulge in one of the tasting menus, priced from €62, or €100 with wine pairing.
Ginger and Fred
Dining at Ginger & Fred quite literally takes your romantic evening to new heights.
The restaurant is located on the 7th floor of Prague’s famous Dancing House, whose two intertwined towers were designed by renowned American architect Frank O. Gehry in tribute to legendary dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
